Use these 5 easy tips for inclusive workplaces today!

  1. Provide Written and Verbal Instructions: Many people process information better when they can read it, while others prefer listening.

  2. Allow Processing Time: Give employees time to absorb information before expecting a response or action.

  3. Offer Alternative Communication Methods: Encourage the use of email, instant messaging, or visual aids to accommodate various forms of communication.

  4. Establish Predictable Routines: Consistent communication methods and meeting structures can reduce anxiety and improve understanding.

  5. Encourage Feedback and Adaptation: Check in with all employees to see if communication methods are working and be willing to adjust.

Inclusive tools and strategies don’t have to cost money! Many can be easily implemented at little to no cost to employers.
