Use these 5 easy tips for inclusive workplaces today!

  1. Use Plain Language: Avoid complex wording and legal jargon. Keep policies clear, concise, and easy to understand.

  2. Provide Multiple Formats: Offer policies in written, audio, and visual formats (e.g., PDFs, infographics, short videos) to accommodate different learning styles.

  3. Offer Real-Life Examples: Explain policies using practical scenarios to help employees understand how they apply in daily work.

  4. Break Information into Sections: Use headings, bullet points, and short paragraphs so employees can easily find key information.

  5. Allow Time for Questions and Reinforcement: Create an open-door policy where employees can ask for clarification and provide refresher sessions to go over key rules.

Inclusive tools and strategies don’t have to cost money! Many can be easily implemented at little to no cost to employers.
